Who are these two?

I mentioned in my last post that the 7-year tribulation period begins with a historic Middle-East peace agreement between Israel and her Mid-East neighbors. This will be brokered by the one whom the Bible calls the antichrist. I also said that the last 7 years of this age of mankind are divided up into (2) 3 ½ year periods. What happens in the first 3 ½ years? There are 2 things that will happen shortly after the peace agreement is signed.

First,  Israel will be allowed to rebuild their temple. This is mentioned in Revelation 11. The Jewish people will once again offer up sacrifices to God in the temple.

The second thing which is also mentioned in Revelation 11 is the coming of the two witnesses. We are not given the names of the two witnesses, but many believe they will be Moses and the prophet Elijah sent back by God. Whoever they are, they will do things like turn waters into blood, strike the earth with plagues and cause the earth to have no rain for 3 ½ years. For those who live in the west, you know all too well what drought brings – fires.

I want to remind folks that my intent in writing these posts is not to provide a commentary on end-time events, but rather a road map of sorts. That way when the church is gone, those who are left behind can know what is coming next and see that the Bible is true.
Many today will not read the bible let alone believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for our sins. Sadly they have no clue as to what is about to come upon the world. I hope that when these things begin to happen, people will see that the bible is true and will turn to Jesus for salvation.
